Anti-aging cream or serum?
As they say, it’s better to prevent then to cure. I’m been getting a little worried about premature wrinkles around my eyes. As hard as I try to apply my gel eyeliner without tugging on my eyelids, I can’t help but to tug and pull at it. I just turned 18 and fine lines are starting to appear. I started to looking towards Laneige’s Perfect Renew Essence but it’s $50 for a 1.5oz bottle. Too expensive on my budget. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good anti-aging eye cream/serum? Drugstore is preferred but I’m open to other suggestions.
Thanks. <3
You don’t need any anti-aging products now, just make sure to moisturize really well and wear sunscreen religiously. Aging happens, but you’re very young and you have loads of time before you need to worry about that.

First of all, tugging on your eyelids and prodding them too much stretches the skin because it is very thin. I would recommend that you buy an eyeliner brush and then if you want to apply your gel liner, use this brush instead because it will be softer on your eyes. Secondly, it is much cheaper to use your mascara as a gel liner. You can use the same brush as mentioned above and use the mascara to line your eyes.
Finally, as you said, prevention is better than cure so by doing the above you will preventing extra stretching of the skin. You can use a regular moisturiser still, but ensure that it contains SPF and antioxidants. Clinique does a lovely one but its quite expensive, however, no7 have also been known to produce good quality products.
You are only 18 and do not need to be using anti-aging products because your skin will be high in elasticity, ect. Just ensure that you keep hydrated, use your moisturiser twich daily, wear sunglasses in the summer and take your make-up off each night. Don’t worry too much about the wrinkles coming under your eyes, they are the first to show usually due to squinting, etc. Just try not to make them worse by mistreating your skin.
Good luck!

I love that you are thinking prevention at your age.. because what you do now will effect you in the future.
I do not recommend any eye creams because it is too early and you will not see results. If you are seeing some lines it’s most likely because the area is dry ( maybe your eye makeup remover ) I would suggest getting something mild ( olive oil is very gentle ) and moisturize well everyday.
Don’t forget to use sunscreen everyday !!
Hope this helps
